Mizozo' May Prize will be a Free Magic Flight Launch Box

Continuing our trend to keep America high, in the month of May Mizozo will be giving away a free Magic Flight Launch Box, and its accompanying kit, to the person who publishes the most popular story for the month of May.

We purchased the Premium Walnut Launch Box, which comes with comes with the following:

- One Premium Walnut Launch Box
- (2) rechargeable NiMH batteries with protective caps
- battery charger
- felt-lined storage tin
- glass draw stem
- a cleaning brush
- Lifetime Functional Warranty

As we have been doing throughout 2013, each month the article with the most clicks will win a prize. And, continuing the marijuana infused tradition, this month we decided to give away a Magic Flight.

In February we gave a way a Ploom Pax, this month we are giving away a bunch of glass paraphernalia and now May will welcome another free Vaporizer prize.

I don't know about you all, but I'm excited. Mizozo started a few years ago with next to nothing and it slowly grew into a respectable site. Now we are giving back to all our publishers which feels good.

So, if you're interested in winning the Magic Flight, or any of our other monthly prizes, Join Mizozo and Publish your articles!

Our pipes have arrived

The free pipes have arrived! Pictured above you can see the free glass being given away in this month's contest on Mizozo. To be honest, the picture doesn't do them justice. The steamroller has a nice feel/weight to it, the bubbler very nice and holds really well, and the pipe ... well, its a pipe.

The Winner of the Free Beats Tour Headphones is ...

The month of March didn't show quite as much enthusiasm for Mizozo's traffic prize as February did, but a winner has been determined.

For the month of March, the winner of the Free Beats Tour Headphones is david for his article - Unique pictures of London street life, 1876-1877.

Congratulations, David. You will be contacted shortly and your prize will be mailed to you.

April's prize will be similar to February's, a bunch of smoking paraphernalia. We purchased a bunch of glass pieces for all you stoners out there, so hurry up and register ... than post your articles and try to promote them. Now this is a prize that I may be interested in competing for!

March Numbers

Another month, another report.

We have seen a subtle fall in March in traffic and a small jump in earnings, but nothing too dramatic in either direction. Hopefully these prizes will become more trusted, and more interesting, stimulating more people to register, write and promote.

In the meantime, here is the quick summary:
Visitors: 176,865
Page Views: 309,642
Pages per Visit: 1.75
Earnings: $348.52
Also, we have the actual numbers in Google Spreadsheet form here.

While our traffic dipped a tiny bit, our advertising revenue jumped quite a bit. I can't say why the revenue jumped, but my guess for the dip in traffic may be due to the fact that nobody was really trying too hard for the prize. This may be due to the fact that the prize wasn't too liked, or this can be because nobody is too interested in the prize at all.

Still, with earnings of $348, and an operating expense of $140, we are left with $208 in profit. Taking 90% of that, we are left with an April prize budget of $185. Still not an iPad, but it isn't that bad. Judging by the fact that the Ploom Pax was such a hit, we opted for another Stoner Prize this month. If this trend picks up, maybe that's the route we should take to attract publishers? We'll have to wait and see.
