The Mizozo Manifesto

Is it possible to build a truly fair business model? Can there be a company that does away with the elite, distributing its earnings among all those who bring it success? We at Mizozo don’t just believe it, we’re doing our best to make this a reality.

So, what is Mizozo? Mizozo is a corporation entirely owned by its workers. Ownership and control is distributed by means of responsibility, effort and the admiration of peers.

Over time we will change, adapting to new challenges and incorporating new ideas. New responsibilities will materialize requiring growth and changing its core. Nothing is ever fully worked out, instead Mizozo is always open to criticism and suggestions for improvement.

Currently, Mizozo has a simple framework with a small revenue stream. With a little time and a lot of work the application will change to not only meet the desires of its members but also help them line their pockets. Let there be no illusions, we aim to earn but distribute our earnings fairly.

With so many social communities out there, Mizozo stands out as the only one where the members are in fact the owners. As Mizozo begins to earn, so will its contributors. There is no limit to where this vision can go.

Mizozo has come a long way, but there is much more to come. As time passes, Mizozo will change! You can help guide that change. Join Mizozo! Join the revolution!

The Mizozo Nexus Giveaway

As promised, Mizozo will begin giving away great prizes starting in January. This month's competition will be very simple, the article with the most unique clicks wins. Since it is our first month, we will actually have two prizes, so the runner up will also receive a great gift.

What are this month's prizes? None other than a 16GB Nexus 10 for the winner, and a 16GB Nexus 7 for the runner up.

The rules are actually quite simple:

  • The article must be published between January 1st and 31st of 2013
  • To be considered, the article must follow the publishing rules
  • The article with the most unique page views wins a Nexus 10, the runner up wins a Nexus 7
  • Traffic Uniqueness will be determined by Google Analytics and our Server Logs
  • The winner will be publicly announced on the blog, then contacted via email
  • The prize will be mailed to the winner at Mizozo's expense

I would like to point out, we plan on analyzing the traffic of the winner and runner up very carefully. If we feel that the clicks are in any way fraudulent, the article will immediately be disqualified.

So, what do you need to do in order to win? Well, first you need to register on Mizozo, if you haven't already done so. Next, publish any article you wish, so long as it conforms to the rules. Last, do everything possible to get people to click on it.

Some sure fire way to get clicks are posting it to Facebook (possibly followed by gratuitous begging and the like) or posting it to Twitter (may also require begging). If you think you got something that people will truly like, Reddit and Stumbleupon are amazing ways to generate traffic.

Of course, there are a million other platforms where you can socialize your article, or you can rely on SEO where Google can pick up on your article and spread it around the world.

I will do my best to give regular updates on who is in the lead here on the blog. Its also important to note that most traffic comes in just the first day after posting, so its never too late to try and win. We have had articles get almost 100,000 clicks in a single day.

So, what are you waiting for? Publish your article now!

It looks like we are finally ready for 2013. We have put together our report structure and have purchased the first series of prizes for the month of January. This is the first of our monthly report posts, the Summary. It will soon be followed by a detailed traffic report followed by a detailed revenue report. Again, if you have any suggestions for improvement, please don't hesitate to let us know.
